OpenAI had a very high barrier to entry- infrastructure and API based monetisation. Thats gone with deepseek If businesses can fine-tune or deploy DeepSeek models without OpenAI’s constraints, they may opt for a self-hosted solution rather than paying for OpenAI’s services.
